Tzedakah, or giving to others in need, is one of the central tenets of Jewish life. We use a tzedakah box to collect these funds. The word ''tzedakah'' comes from the root word ''tzedek,'' meaning ''justice.'' Tzedakah is considered an obligation, part and partial to life itself -- so much so that this act of giving is not to be motivated by compassion or sympathy, but rather in the interest of doing that which is fair and just.
In accordance with the philosophy of ''Hiddur Mitzvah'' -- the beautification of the commandments -- Gallery Judaica has a diverse offering of art-piece tzadakah boxes, to help collect funds for worthy causes.
